Protect provider keys

API keys are passwords. Enter them only in the Airwave provider settings or the provider’s official dashboard. Do not include them in screenshots, logs, support messages, or copied settings files.

Configure an AI or data provider

  1. Open Settings & Licensing.
  2. Select Open API Keys & Providers.
  3. Paste the credential into the correct provider field.
  4. Save the protected secret.
  5. Run the provider connection check.
  6. Refresh available models or voices when the provider supports it.

When a connection check fails

  • Confirm that the key belongs to the selected provider and account.
  • Check billing, quota, model access, and regional restrictions.
  • Confirm the computer’s date, time, DNS, and Internet connection.
  • Review Activity Logs without copying secret values.

Replace a leaked key

Revoke the key in the provider dashboard, create a new one, update Airwave, and verify the replacement. Deleting a key from Airwave does not revoke it at the provider.
