Metadata export
Configure SAM to write current and upcoming metadata to the file selected in Airwave. A common example is C:\AirwaveAutoJock\SAM\nowplaying.json, but your station can use another path when both systems agree.
Verify the export
- Select SAM Broadcaster in Quick Setup or the Dashboard.
- Browse to the export file.
- Select Read File.
- Confirm Current Song and Up Next.
- Enable Watch and verify that the cards update when SAM changes songs.
SAMQueue handoff
The default handoff folder is C:\AirwaveAutoJock\Output\Live\SAMQueue. Airwave writes a unique WAV and updates airwave_queue_request.txt. The supplied SAM PAL script reads that request and queues the listed WAV.
Safe verification
Verify with a non-public SAM queue or during an off-air maintenance window. Confirm that one WAV is queued, the pointer does not contain a stale path, and the file is deleted or replaced according to the station workflow.
